Daily life in Girvan EMI Residential Care Home is crafted around the needs of our residents and the effects of dementia. Here you can find information about day to day life in the home, activities, food and entertainment, plus what to expect when you first move into the home.

Linen and clothing is laundered in house on a daily basis and returned to residents’ rooms. Residents are involved in planning our programme of activities, which takes their needs and wishes into account. We have a movement therapist who has been visiting the home for a number of years and provides gentle muscle stimulation. Bingo nights and singalongs are a regular theme to the afternoons. A hairdresser visits the home on a regular basis to pamper the residents as well as a chiropodist who has been visiting the home for a over 5 years.
