- Do the residents seem happy?
Think about the staff and management
- Do staff interact well with residents?
- Do they have a passion and energy for the care they are giving?
Think about the location
- Will it be easy for relatives and friends to visit with or without a car?
- How close, and so how accessible are parks or other out door areas?
Do the services and facilities meet your well being? For example are there
- Hoists?
- Walking aids?
- Wheelchairs?
- Special mattresses?
- Pressure cushions?
- Specialised furniture?
Think about the rooms
- Does the home offer the type of bedroom you want:
- Is the room en suite toilet/hand basin or how close is toilet/bathroom?
- Does the room have space far a chair, table, and television?
- Is there a telephone or the possibility of having a telephone installed?
- Is there the opportunity to bring some of your own possessions?
